Deep Sea Fishing

The Sea Afare was built by Islander Boats in October 2019. She is a luxurious purpose built boat designed specifically for Fijian waters and all types of anglers and techniques to pursue the large selection of sport fishing species in our surrounding waters in comfort. She is 33 feet or 11 meters with large platforms aft and fore.  Beam: 12 ft. or 3.75 meters. Accommodates up to 6 anglers for big game trolling and comfortably 4 for light tackle and casting anglers and up to 12 passengers. We have our experienced boat captain and guide who will ensure you have an awesome day on the water.

Engine, Electronics, and Safety – Twin 250hp 4-stroke Yamahas     Electronics include GPS, VHS, Depth recorder and Fish Finder. She meets all international safety regulations with EPRIB, life jackets, flare guns, and standard safety equipment.

Features – Outfitted with- Reelax Fighting Chair to accommodate big game fishermen that is removable for a flush deck for those anglers that prefer a large cockpit casting platform for popping, light tackle or fly fishing.   Large casting platform on the fore deck with built-in insulated fish boxes that double for ample seating complete with a roll up Bimini top for shade.  The enclosed cabin includes a v-berth and electric toilet. Swim step with built-in retractable ladder for easy entry and exit. Fresh water and salt water wash down.

Fishing Gear 1-130 Shimano, 4- 50’s Penns 1-50 Shimano 1- 80 Shimano and 2-80 Penns, 1 casting rod, bucket Seat for fighting chair, stand up fighting belt, flying and stick gaffs,  Outriggers and18 Rod holders.

She is 28 feet with large platforms aft and fore.  Perfect for light tackle and casting anglers up to 4-5 passengers.

Engine, Electronics, and Safety – Single 200hp 4-stroke Yamaha     Electronics include GPS, VHS, Depth recorder and Fish Finder. She meets all international safety regulations with life jackets, flare guns, and standard safety equipment.

Outriggers and Rod holders with rods and reels suitable for fishing in the local waters. 

Slam Em is a 24 ft Islander with a new Yamaha 200hp engine.  Ideal for 1 or 2 light tackle anglers.   Center console with a walk-around deck.  She has the same electronics as the other two boats and meets international safety standards.

Taveuni Palms Resort Reservation/Payment Policy:

We require a 25% deposit (non-refundable) due within 7 days of booking. Balance must be received 60 days prior to arrival.

A booking is not recognized nor the space reserved, unless a deposit is received. Reservations made within 60 days of arrival require payment in full at the time of booking. We accept most major credit cards.

*All bookings must be paid in full prior to arrival.

Taveuni Palms Resort Cancellation Policy:

Deposit – No refund
Less than 60 days notice – Cancellation fee will be 100% of rate for every night cancelled

In the event of a cancellation, notice must be received by the Taveuni resort in writing. No refund will be given for no-shows, unused days, or unused portions of pre-paid packages. Refunds are subject to bank fee/credit card fee adjustments. We strongly recommend appropriate insurance protection.

Taveuni Palms will not accept any responsibility for any personal injury, loss or damage to personal equipment or property while staying on the property or during participation in any activity. Taveuni Palms will not accept responsibility for any bodily harm or injury, which may occur while staying on the property or during participation in any activity off the property. Taveuni Palms will not accept any delay, additional expense or inconvenience which may be caused directly or indirectly by events within or outside their control. Taveuni Palms will not be held responsible for refunding unused nights due to flight delay or cancellations. Taveuni Palms will not be held liable for any failure to carry out arrangements agreed to for clients, if such failure is due to fire or other casualties, acts of God, National Emergencies, strikes or shortage of labor or materials or any other causes beyond its control. Please ensure you purchase appropriate insurance protection.
