This excursion will take you to Wiwi Village where you will meet your experienced local guide. You will see where the locals live and is a good introduction to island life. All of the horses are well trained and all of the equipment is well maintained.
Your excursion will take you on a 2-3 hour ride up a beautiful rugged mountainside to an elevation of 1000 feet. You will also ride through areas where the guide will point out to you some of the crops grown such as taro and kava which are important for the island economy. From the elevated view point you can see the nearby Kocoma, Qamea and Laucala Islands, and the beautiful Taveuni countryside. Don’t forget your camera! There is no better spot for photo opportunities than up at this height. On the return trip you can ride along the beach and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
