I think that anyone interested in diving or snorkeling will need to make a trip to Taveuni. The Rainbow Reef in Taveuni is featured as the ‘soft coral capital of the world’ and situated on the Somo Somo Strait which has an abundance of sealife both large and small. We had humpback whales swim very close to the resort just two days ago. They are always great fun to see and are such huge and gentle creatures. We have dolphins swim past each day, entertaining us with their acrobatics.
We take our guests on snorkeling trips with our new resort boat and use an experienced local operator for the diving excursions, Taveuni Ocean Sports. They are a very knowledgeable and fun team, led by Julie Kelly. Julie and her team are dedicated to providing you with a safe and fun time as well as sharing their passion for the environment. I am happy to co-ordinate your requests with Julie and it is a good idea to pre-book your dive days prior to your arrival as they can become booked up.
I can assist with your enquiries and Julie also offers PADI dive courses for those wanting to try out the underwater world for the first time.
